Vessel Walkthrough:
Approaching the Aquila 28 Molokai from the stern, you’re immediately welcomed by a wide, open cockpit designed with both anglers and families in mind, offering excellent freedom of movement and padded bolsters that wrap nearly the entire perimeter for secure, all-around fishability.
At the transom, a central walkthrough with a removable door provides direct access to the swim platform, where oversized grab handles and a reboarding ladder make water access easy for swimming, diving, or boarding after a day offshore, while flip-out transom seats quickly convert the space into a comfortable social area at anchor.
Moving forward into the cockpit, the layout reveals abundant in-deck storage and insulated fish boxes to port and starboard, complemented by raw-water washdown access and extensive rod storage integrated throughout the cap rails and gunwales, reinforcing the Molokai’s offshore fishing pedigree.
Stepping up to the helm, the operator is greeted by a clean, functional console with excellent visibility through wraparound glass, a comfortable helm seat with armrests, adjustable footrests, and space for modern electronics. While the hardtop supports include rod holders, grab handles, and overhead lighting for both day and night operation.
Just forward of the helm, a forward-hinged console door opens into the day head, a surprisingly spacious compartment that doubles as a changing room and storage area, along with dedicated storage for the swim ladder, cockpit table, and transom door.
Continuing forward along the single-level deck, you arrive at the bow seating area, where multiple seating configurations offer comfortable lounge or forward-facing seating with storage beneath, creating a versatile space for relaxing underway or at rest.
At the foredeck, dedicated anchor and rode lockers keep ground tackle neatly organized, completing a walkthrough that highlights the Aquila 28 Molokai’s seamless blend of offshore capability, intelligent design, and everyday usability from stern to bow.
