ELECTRICAL 

• AC/DC System: OctoPlex™ NEMA 2000 electrical safety/security control system. Based on aerospace technology for remote activation, control and status reporting of all AC and DC breakers. Monitors all power sources (AC and DC) for voltage, frequency and amperage abnormalities and provide visual and audio alerts. Includes enhanced circuit breaker functionality with noload indication. Brown-out capabilities provides sensors for main doors, tank level, bilge, and battery monitoring of current, voltage and temperature.
• This security/safety automatic monitoring and alert capabilities include using Apple iPad or Android for remote access to operate, view, and arm OctoPlex™ data and navigation system with remote notification accessibility.
• Shore power connections: Two CM-8 100Amp cable master with 120’ cables with Iso-boost which manages voltage drops due to shore power by boosting output voltage, thus keeping electrical system stable.
• Lightning protection system. Lightning arrestor pole installed on mast with dedicated ground cable to grounding plate attached to underwater hull surface. Minimizes potential lightning strike damage to yacht electrical and critical systems. 

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 

• (12) New AGM house, main engine, and generator batteries.
• General - DC systems are designed and installed in accordance with RINA rules. The engine starting, genset starting, and ships service systems are all independent of each other and each has more than one means of charging.
• Engine Starting System - The engine starting system consists of two (2) 290, 12 volt, maintenance free type batteries, wired as a 24 volt bank, for each main engine. The two battery banks are charged by their respective engine alternators (as supplied by engine supplier) as well as a 24 volt 60 amp multibank battery charger. The engine control electronics for each engine powered by respective battery banks and also service battery bank as backup power. A circuit breaker panel is provided for engine electronics and controls. 
• Genset Starting System - The genset starting system consists of one (1) 120, 12 volt, maintenance free type battery. Each battery is charged by its respective genset alternator (as supplied by genset supplier). The control power for each genset is derived from its own battery.
• Ships Service Batteries - The ships service system consists of six (6) 290 ah, 12 volt, maintenance free type batteries, wired as a three 24 volt banks. Each bank may be selected isolated or the banks may be selected  in paralleled use. Service bank is charged by two battery chargers in parallel (100A+80A). One distribution panel is provided in engine room.

ALARM AND MONITORING SYSTEM 

• The system is powered by the ships service batteries for continuous operation. The system uses color touch screen operator interface terminals located in the pilothouse, and Crew Lounge. The system displays alarms and monitors various systems including fuel and water tank levels. Multiple screen pages and the generous screen size allow for easy to read graphical display of location and type of alarms and monitored systems.
• The Octoplex system is monitoring levels of each fuel tank and the water tank can be read. Each tank has its own sensor. Internal watertight doors between various areas are monitored. The voltage of the batteries for ships service and engine starting can be displayed. 
• Extensive monitoring of alarm points is included with the system. The system program logs all alarms with time and date stamp, easily accessed via any of the touch screens.
• All bilge areas are monitored for high level. Backup alarms (independent of the shutdown alarms) for each genset are provided, including oil pressure, water temperature, and cooling water flow. 
• Multiple alarms are provided to monitor the sewage and grey water pumping and treatment system for proper operation and tank high levels. The freshwater and day tanks have low level alarms. 

FIXED FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM

• Standalone system capable of immediate operation at all times. Withstands supply voltage variations and transients, ambient temperature changes, vibration, humidity, shock, impact and corrosion normally encountered on ships.
