Category Type Ratings – M-80 Certification

• Type A
  Designed strictly for in-ground-effect operation

  • Operational altitude: Up to 25 ft (7.6 m) above the water surface

  • Ideal for high-efficiency, low-altitude maritime transit

• Type B
  Certified for limited out-of-ground-effect operation

  • Operational ceiling: Up to 150 meters (500 ft)

  • Used for emergency maneuvers, obstacle avoidance, and controlled elevation when required

• Type C (for reference)
  Allows continuous operation above 150 meters

  • Not currently applicable to the M-80, which is optimized for Type A & B operations
