Lasai 22 GL

The Lasai 22 GL is a solar-electric day cruiser, introduced in 2024 by the Basque shipyard Lasai. The name "Lasai" means "calm" in Basque and reflects the nearly silent driving experience.

With a length of 6.80 meters and a width of 2.22 meters, the Lasai 22 GL accommodates up to six people. The hull was developed by the renowned Redondo Studio, known for their work on the America's Cup, and features an elegant design with a steep bow optimized for maximum energy efficiency.

The boat is powered by two 15 kW pod motors from the Austrian company Aquamot. The energy is supplied by a 44 kWh battery, which can be optionally expanded to 60 kWh. At a cruising speed of 6 knots, the Lasai 22 GL achieves a range of over 100 nautical miles; the top speed is 15 knots.

A special feature is the T-top, equipped with solar panels that provide up to 800 W of power to continuously charge the batteries while underway.

The deck is made of synthetic teak from PE/EVA foam (Seadek®) and features complete upholstery made of marine fabric. Equipment includes an 80 cm long swim platform, a sun lounge at the stern, a convertible driver's seat, and a fixed bow table made of synthetic material. Navigation and comfort are ensured by a 9-inch multifunction display from SIMRAD, a depth sounder, and a Bluetooth sound system with two 200 W marine speakers.

The Lasai 22 GL was nominated in 2024 as the best electric boat for the Best of Boats Award and has been available at Lake Constance since then.
