Viknes

In the late 1980s, Viknes entered the market with the Viknes 770. A quirky and seaworthy ship as we can expect from a Norwegian quality shipyard. It was the beginning of a long series of successful models. The Viknes ships are particularly well-lined and exceptionally strong, making sailing on open sea no problem at all. After a stable growth period, the yard was shaken by a large fire in the year 2000. A year later, a new production hall was built, and Viknes started a new series of models. In 2012, the Viknes 930 was named “Powerboat of the Year.”

Currently, Viknes is one of the largest yacht builders in Norway. All Viknes ships are approved by the Norwegian certification body “Norske Veritas” under CE design category B.

 

Viknes 1080 Sunbridge

The Viknes 1080 Sunbridge is a large and spacious boat where space is central. Ultimate enjoyment in nice weather but also extremely suitable for less nice weather on the water. Next to the steering position, a door has been placed which gives comfort to the skipper to quickly move to the deck. Of course, the Sunbridge type has a steering position on deck, and there is sufficient seating space for passengers at this same level. The large U-shaped sofa in the salon accommodates 7 people, with two large sliding windows in the ceiling above, which is a beautiful way to enjoy the sun and does justice to its name as a panorama boat!

 

The Viknes model 1080 comes standard with a 6hp bow thruster, a separate shower with toilet, a 4kw diesel heating system with outlets in all cabins, a large swimming platform equipped with an outdoor shower, trim tabs, electric bilge pump, and in the galley an oven, gas detector, 85ltr refrigerator with freezer compartment, and a hot water supply.

The engine can be chosen, with options for a 400HP or a 440HP Yanmar diesel engine.

Below in the front of the boat, there are no less than 3 sleeping cabins, each with a double bed. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet and shower.

 

There is also an outdoor steering position on the aft deck. A teak deck on the aft deck and swimming platform is one of the many options.
