The V422 is the next generation of the V42, which originally came out in 2014 using MTI's patented hull design. Highlighted new features include

• Full private head in the cabin

In crafting the new V422, MTI incorporated many of the features from its popular V50. It will be one of the few center consoles on the market with a full private head in the cabin in a 42-foot size range. Meanwhile, the seating in the back is completely different to created added room. Dual dock doors (with an integrated boarding ladder on the right dock door) makes docking anywhere, from either side of the boat, much easier. In addition, front boarding steps make boarding much easier on the higher docks—especially in Florida—on either side.

MTI has built additional and new storage areas, with molded hatches, into the V422, including in the front bow. Other new changes include recessed wind deflectors and raised seating for easier visibility. The V422's cabin also sports a new configuration, with windows added for natural lighting.

The boat's interior adopts a completely new look and design, with a larger dash that's able to accommodate up to a 27-inch Garmin in the center.

The patented “Slot V” hull offers a ride unlike anything else in the Vee Bottom world. The hull design utilizes twin keels, similar to a catamaran, yielding straight, stable, and predictable handling at all speeds. The step design also ventilates the hull and traps a boundary layer of air under the hull and between the twin keels. With the added bow flare, the MTI-V 42 is extremely dry riding even in extreme conditions in both head and following seas.

In the cockpit, the area above the central cabin has a front sun lounge that is one of the most comfortable seats on board. The contoured design cradles you comfortably and provides and extra feeling of security at cruising speeds. Moving forward there is U shaped bow seating.

Behind the helm you’ll find two rows of 3 person stand up or sit downs bolsters while the unique hard top is large enough to cover both rows of seats. Going aft there’s a large rear bench.

The cabin features a large forward berth with a comfortable mattress. When not in use the rear of the bed folds up to create a limo style seat for riding or to escape the out of doors. There’s a galley area and an electric flush head concealed below an additional seating area.

Design:
Unlike many builders, MTI-V took the time to get the bottom design fine tuned for the perfect blend of speed and cruising ability with flawless handling manners. This revolutionary “Slot V” design provides a ride that is far more advanced than other boats. So far that we took the time to Patent the design. The twin keels provide handling manners as if the boat was on rails. There is never any indication of sliding or hooking in a corner.

The boat keeps its bow high in both head and following seas. The wide bow does an excellent job of knocking down big swells.
