Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Carvel mahogany splined planking on oak frames.
• Teak deck.
• Mahogany trunk cabin, cockpit and interior joinery.

Keel:

• Lead keel.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• Bellman BV Aquapella electric inboard 24 V engine.
• Shaft driven c/w disc brake.

Propulsion & Steering:

• Fixed 2-blade propeller and alternative custom made 3 bladed feathering Max prop type.

Electrical Systems

Battery Banks:

• 2 x 12V batteries in series.

Plumbing Systems

Bilge Pumps:

• 1 x Manual bilge pump.
• 2 x Electric bilge pumps of which one is auto with float.

Navigation Equipment

• Tack tick system including boat speed, depth, wind data including direction and speed.
• 2 x Compasses.

Domestic Equipment

Galley:

• Single burner spirit stove.
• Stainless steel sink.

Heads/Showers:

• WC.

• Aluminium mast.

• Hollow Douglas fir main and spruce topmast by Noble Spars.

• Harken genoa tracks and cars.
• Harken mainsheet traveler cars etc.

Winches:

• 7 x Harken bronze winches incl. 2 x pancake period bronze primaries with modern internals.

Bermudian Rig Sails:

• 2 x Mainsails for the Bermudian rig included (plus, through separate negotiation, the North 3DLs); 1 x laminate, 1 x Dacron.
• Genoa 1.
• Genoa 2.
• Spinnaker 1.
• Spinnaker 2.

NB – Genoa and Spinnakers fit both masts.

Gaff Rig Sails:

• Sails - lightly used racing wardrobe to CIM requirements, i.e. period cut material and design.
• Mainsail.
• No 1 Genoa.

• No 3 Genoa.
• AP Spinnaker.
• Spinnaker.

General:

• DUET comes with her own custom-made steel cradle for either storage or transport.

Anchoring & Mooring Equipment:

• Kedge anchor with fast drop web reel.

• Over - boom cockpit cover.

• Deck / hull custom cover for storage and transit.
