Description

Welcome Aboard JADA

JADA is a timeless classic — a wooden sailing vessel built in 1938 and maintained to meet Coast Guard standards for over 40 years. She recently emerged from the yard with her renewed Certificate of Inspection (COI) for up to 38 passengers, officially recertified in April 2024 and ready to sail into her next chapter.

Highlights and Recent Upgrades:

  • Renewed COI (April 2025) – U.S. Coast Guard-certified for 38 passengers

  • Mizzen inspection and recertification completed (March 2024)

  • Fresh bottom paint and newly painted hull (March 2024)

  • New mast step for the mizzen (March 2024)

  • Rigging replaced in 2017

  • Teak deck touch-ups and resealing (December 2024) – preserving both structure and character without a full replacement

  • Deck caulking and partial teak replacement also performed in December 2024

  • Up-to-date insurance survey (2024) confirming her seaworthiness

While JADA proudly reflects the patina of a vessel with deep history, her diligent upkeep ensures she remains a reliable, capable, and beautiful platform for charters, events, or personal cruising. Based in sunny San Diego, she’s an opportunity for those who appreciate the craftsmanship and soul of a true classic.

Due to family circumstances, the current owner is seeking the right steward to continue JADA’s story. Offers will be thoughtfully considered with an emphasis on finding a buyer who will honor her legacy and keep her spirit alive.

Take the helm of JADA — and write the next chapter in her storied voyage.
