Interior
This boat went through and extensive rebuilding from 2008-2018. All interior woodwork was removed, down to the bulkheads and interior hull fiberglass: all floor boards, closet liners, paneling, moldings, doors, drawers and cabinets, bronze ports, hatches, and water tanks. All bilge materials, including pumps and hoses; all thru hulls that were not imbedded in the fiberglass; everything in the head.
The interior is amazing, feels like a new boat inside, we have never seen a clearer bilge!
Exterior
Renovation 2008-2018-
The hull was sanded down to the gel coat and all dings and scratches were repaired with epoxy fairing materials. 4-5 coats of Interlux epoxy primecoat were followed by 5 coats of Interlux perfection two stage urethane. The deck and cabin top had all metal and wood removed that could be. Most bronze pieces were sent out to be chromed. All the winches were replaced with new Lewmar winches and an electric winch was added to the cabin top to work with the new furling main. All the wood, including hatches, grab rails, toe rails and cockpit benches were stripped and re-varnished with multiple coats of Epifanes varnish. The lifeline stanchions are stainless steel and were cleaned and rewarded as needed. The deck was sanded very aggressively to minimize the gel coat hairline cracks as much as possible and several coats of epoxy primecoat were applied prior to the perfection topcoat which was several coats also. The non-skid areas were molded in the deck, so they were just sanded very aggressively and repainted with nonskid material added to the paint, which was Interlux Brightside
