Description

This Seller is Motivated!!!!

If you are looking for a turnkey, easy to solo cruiser, this is your boat!

This vintage, solid fiberglass 32' Cruiser is a very comfortable year round live-aboard. Packed with upgrades often not found in a boat this age, you don’t want to miss this opportunity!

“Rubigale” sports brand new bottom paint done February 2025. Routine bottom wipes and zinc changes have been done every 4-6 months. A Lewmar electric windlass with 100' G43 chain and 200' 3 strand line with markers every 30' were added in 2023.  A 25# Mantus is the main anchor and a Danforth is in the lazarette.  All standing and running rigging and stainless lifelines are 6 years old.  She comes with a symmetrical spinnaker with pole. The dodger surround canvas is 2 years old and Lewmar self tailing jib winches were added to the cockpit last year.

A two year old custom V berth mattress provides maximum sleeping comfort.  The salon and cockpit cushions have also been updated.  Autopilot, three AGM batteries, and a Dickenson Newport diesel heater will get you where you are going and keep you safe and warm at anchor. Outlets are new, including 2 GFCIs and extra USBs and 12V outlets have been added. The galley has a Princess 3 burner stove and oven and a front loading NovoKool refrigerator.  Large cabin windows let in tons of natural light and have newer custom cordless blinds.  Headroom in the salon is 6’2” and the generous U shaped settee seats 8! The table converts to a large queen bed for guests.

There are 2 hanging lockers (one with removable shelves), a single quarter berth, a locker under the navigation table and drawers under the starboard settee all add a surprising amount of storage space to this cozy gem.  The 32 gallon holding tank and 6 gallon hot water heater/tank are new, and all fresh water hoses were replaced November 2024.

Whether you are a seasoned sailor or first time boat buyer this charmer offers everything you need for fun and worry free cruising!

A good friend of mine is selling her first boat after buying her second!  This boat was the first keelboat I ever sailed on.  I remember that first day, putting the rail in the water, literally saying, “This is exhilarating!” while she just said I’d be cleaning up her boat soup from the mess I was making of her home.  I spent many years sailing with her on this boat for club cruises, racing her house, just getting out for the day or weekend, or even just playing games or watching a movie at dock.  I’ve done six trips to the San Juans for 9-10 days each trip with Rubigale tied to the raft on nearly every one of them.  I can’t count the number of other times I’ve been in a raft with Rubi. Those of us who know liveaboards know there are those with dock condos and those that take their home on adventures.  Rubigale falls into the latter and has been well cared for and well maintained.  The entire rig on this boat was even recently replaced.  Bottom paint was even done last year!  At this price, this boat is a steal.  Help my good friend go back to a single hull in the water and get yourself an amazingly cozy cruiser.

Rubi is the first boat that I learned to sail on! She spoiled me for every other sailboat! What an absolute gem!
