SALE PENDING!
S/Y Vahine, Swan 65 hull number 002, is one of the most legendary yachts ever built by Nautor. The 65-foot ketch, designed by Sparkman & Stephens, rose to fame when Vahine’s sister ship Sayula II won the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1974. Swan 65 stands among the most majestic and beautiful yachts of her era and remains competitive even today, particularly in heavy weather. The vessel has been used for training purposes by the Sail Training Association Finland, which is parting with her due to a reorganization of its activities.
The robust Swan 65 truly comes into her own in demanding offshore conditions, gracefully handling even large seas. Thanks to her deep V-shaped hull, her motion is calm and comfortable. The ketch rig allows for a wide variety of sail combinations and provides plenty of involvement for a large crew.
The interior is warm and inviting, showcasing Nautor’s renowned craftsmanship. Four double cabins and one four-berth cabin offer comfortable accommodation for the crew of twelve.
Built to last forever, the Swan 65 features a solid laminate hull reinforced with both transverse and longitudinal stringers. S/Y Vahine is an excellent foundation, offering her next owner the opportunity to create a long-term, ocean-ready yacht through a program of thorough updates and refits.
