The Alajuela 38 is an excellent and proven bluewater cruiser, this one having spent most of the past 25 years in exotic places like Cartagena, and twice through the Panama Canal, Mexico, Hawaii and BC Canada. The interior feels large and has been used as a live aboard for a couple.
Similar in style to the Tayana 37 or the Union 36 this boat is about 5-6000 pounds heavier. Her underwater profile, canoe stern and kind motion in a seaway has kept her owner comfortable and safe through many thousands of miles of ocean travel.
