Description
Antares, a Downeaster 38, is a true blue-water cruising boat. She’s a full keel, cutter rig located in Langkawi , Malaysia, and she’s cruising equipped!
In the last several years she has been fully restored and upgraded!!
She’s got a new 40 HP Yanmar diesel with new propeller and shaft, New bowsprit, chain plates and rigging. She’s also been equipped with a new massive Maxwell windlass, chain and three anchors.
She’s got a full hard dodger and hard Bimini top, and high-end davits!
Antares comes with a new cutlass bearing, stuffing box. Her prop is freshly polished; and the interior has brand new interior cushions.
She’s received brand new bottom paint, with 3 barrier coats and 2 bottom paint coats, same as new polyurethane. She received two parts marine paint for top and side hull (Three coats plus primer)...pictures before and after the paint job are included in the ad.
New, never-used heavy duty cruising sails. She also has a newer 80-meter chain.
