Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or an extended cruise, this classic sloop offers the perfect blend of style and functionality, making it an exceptional choice for those who appreciate quality craftsmanship and a rich sailing heritage.
The current owners are reluctantly selling because of their age (late 70’s). They have found the
boat to be a powerful sailor – fast, dry, stable, and good in both light air and heavy weather. All
sheets, halyards, roller furling, and mainsail reefing lines can be handled safely without leaving
the cockpit. She is equally comfortable down below with a very comfortable interior layout, and
lots of well-designed storage for sails, gear, clothing, galley, food and drink. Her moderate 5.5’
draft makes her an ideal boat for Great Lakes cruising. She has been cruised extensively
Spring, Summer, and Fall in the northern Great Lakes for the last 9 years, including many long
cruises and even some racing.
After purchase in 2016, she underwent a year-long refit by the owner who is a retired
boatbuilder, marine electrician, and mechanic. During the years following she has received
continuous professional maintenance, with many updates and improvements. Seiche, named
after the wind-driven tides common around the Great Lakes, will be ideal for a new owner who is
looking for an affordable boat, that does not need repairs or updates in the areas that many find
the most challenging. She is completely equipped and is in sail-away condition today.

Except for prolonged cloudy weather, the solar panels run the fridge, lighting, and nav system with no outside power required. At cruise RPM the high-output alternator will recharge and balance the batteries in an hour or two. We have found during most of our cruising that we run the engine enough to very rarely need the engine for charging only.
