Description
TOROA is one of the popular Ted Hood designed Bristol 35.5 Sloops. She has been owned by her caring owners since 2012. She is one of the keel model 35.5's which offers a more stable seaworthy ride. 2012 – 2025 IMPROVEMENTS:
- 2025 Engine Overhaul: Disassembled engine and overhaul cylinder head; Plane cylinder head flat; new head gasket, valves, seats, seals; Adjust valve clearances; new exhaust elbow.
- 2022 Balmar 100 amp alternator and Balmar 618 external regulator.
- 2022 Install 3 Dakota LifePo4 60 AH batteries and Pro IsoCharge charging control.

GROUND TACKLE:
- Danforth 22S in anchor locker.
- 35 lb CQR Plow in cockpit locker.
- 25’ of 3/8” G4 grade chain to about 200’ of ¾” nylon line.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
- Forward cabin offers vee berths with a filler cushion to create a wide double berth. Storage above. Cabinets and drawers under the berth, and 2 hanging lockers aft to starboard. An overhead hatch provides light and ventilation. Teak door closes this cabin for privacy, with a second door providing separate entrance to the head.
- Head is aft to port, single basin S/S sink with hot and cold pressure water, shower, and storage in cabinets under the sink and along the hull side. A screened opening port provided light and ventilation.
- Main salon offers attractive settees port and starboard with a bulkhead mounted table. Both settees pull out to create double berths. Storage is in cabinets below and behind the settees along with shelves above. 4 fixed and 4 screened opening ports provide light and ventilation.
- Nav Station Navigation table top flips up for storage along with several drawers below the table. Quarter berth is aft, providing a seat for the nav station.
- Teak and holly sole.
GALLEY:
- Conveniently located to starboard of the companionway for quick access from the cockpit.

MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE:
- The inboard engine was fully serviced yearly, including oil changes, filter replacements, and belt adjustments. The cooling system was flushed and refilled.
- Propeller Alignment: The propeller shaft was inspected and aligned to eliminate vibrations and improve propulsion efficiency.
