VIRTUAL VISIT VIDEOS ON REQUEST DESCRIPTION: Mikado 56’ rigged as a ketch Vendavel is a Mikado 56 ketch, a comfortable cruising monohull sailboat with a large aft saloon, built by the Constructions Nautiques du Sud-Ouest (CNSO) shipyard in France in 1980 (no. 65 out of about 100 units manufactured from 1972 to 1984) based on plans by naval architect Michel Bigoin. It is a solid ketch (balsa sandwich hull and deck) with a long fin keel, rigged as a masthead, reliable, capable of covering vast distances with ease, with great course stability and very little heel thanks to its generous shapes, and great maneuverability - manageable with a reduced crew thanks to its divided sail area, spacious and clear decks, and a robust and quiet diesel engine (range of 5 to 600 miles under engine – propulsion up to 10 knots). It anchors in shallow waters thanks to its draft of 2.00 m. This unit has 4 cabins for 8/12 guests on board, 2 bathrooms, and two toilets, one with a black water reserve.
