Description
The Nautor Swan 371’s elegant lines, robust construction and versatile layout offer a rare combination of speed, comfort and safety. Whether you’re seeking a proven offshore passage-maker or a competitive club racer, TEXAS STAR delivers the timeless performance and elegance that only a Swan can provide. TEXAS STAR has been lightly used and lovingly maintained by the current owners since they purchased her in 1986. Aside from some casual racing – including winning her division at the Swan Regatta in Newport in 1988 – TEXAS STAR has spent most summers docked in Greenport, Long Island, and winters at the NYAC Yacht Club in Pelham, NY. TEXAS STAR is a perfect boat for a couple or growing family, with plenty of berths and ample storage. Her cosy interior features a main saloon, galley, dedicated nav station, forepeak, head and aft cabin – all finished in Nautor’s famous teak. The deck layout and hardware have been upgraded and modernised to optimise the boat for shorthanded sailing, with all control lines and halyards accessible from the cockpit. The teak decks were replaced by Jamestown Boat Yard in 2006 and still look excellent, with plenty of life left in them. The topsides retain their original gelcoat, which has not lost its shine. There is a large inventory of sails, including a relatively new and lightly used mainsail and furling genoa. The engine was replaced several years ago. Truly a lovely Swan – well worth a trip to see her!
