Description
Newly arrived for sale is this beautiful, yet unknown Storebro Royal 33. Unknown, and that is a shame, because it is built to a very high quality by a famous yard in Sweden, with certification from Det Norske Veritas. In terms of quality, this sailing yacht can easily compete with Hallberg Rassy, Malö, or for example Najad.
The current owner (since 1998) has maintained the ship with great care and kept it up to date. A new Volvo Penta D2-40 diesel engine has been installed, and the list of upgrades is immense. Every winter since 1998, it has been stored in an insulated hall and has seen little saltwater use, which is evident in the beautiful shine of the gelcoat and the undamaged interior.
As you step on board, you immediately notice the Esthec composite deck, very beautifully and neatly laid, requiring no maintenance other than regular cleaning. You step into the safe, high cockpit and feel right at home. There is enough space here for 2 - 4 people to enjoy a lovely summer day. This cockpit can be closed off with a good cockpit tent, so in bad weather, you have extra indoor space at your disposal.
Via the stairs down, you enter the cozy salon, with a cleverly arranged navigation corner on your right, and further back through a passage under the cockpit bench, you reach the aft cabin, where two people can comfortably sleep.
In front of the salon is the wet cell with toilet and shower facilities, and in front of that, the second, lockable cabin with a double bed. Back in the salon and in the hallway to the rear, you can open the side of the engine room, where a new, spotless Volvo Penta D2-40 with only about 700 sailing hours stands. Clean, tidy, reliable!
The sails (main sail and Genoa I) have been renewed not long ago and crackle under the sail cover, the rigging has been replaced, as has the guardrail. Safety above all. In short, you get a ship where you need to do nothing more than load your belongings and enjoy your new journey.
