PRELIMINARY LISTING
BELLEROPHON is a Ted Hood-designed 1982 Bristol 40 yawl. She is in the water, fully commissioned. She needs some updating but appears to be in sound condition. Her engine has low hours, sails have had little use. Sellers are motivated, so here's an opportunity for someone looking for a classic to get a good buy.
Accomodations
Sleeps five. V berth forward. Enclosed head with access from both forward cabin and main cabin. Head next aft to port which features hand-held shower, vanity, and marine toilet (needs holding tank and plumbing). Hanging locker opposite to starboard. Main cabin next aft with settees port and starboard. tTeak dining table with leaf stores on bulkhead. Forward facing nav station next aft to port, galley opposite to starboard. Quarterberth aft of nav station to port.
Galley
L-shaped galley features Shipmate three-burner propane stove with oven, refrigerated top-loading icebox, stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurized water.
Electrical
12 volt DC and 110 volt AC dockside systems. 12 volt system includes two 12 volt batteries, battery selector switch, and breaker panel. 110 volt dockside AC system includes breaker panel, receptacles, 30 amp shore power cord. Battery charger. Electric bilge pump.
Electronics and Navigation
Raymarine ST60+ knotmeter/log, depthsounder, and apparent windspeed/direction indicator. Standard Horizon USA VHF radio transceiver. Ritchie SP5 pedestal-mounted compass
Engine
Westerbeke W-40 37 horsepower four cylinder fresh-water-cooled diesel with under 500 hours.
Hull and Deck
Long full keel with attached rudder. Topsides finished in dark blue Imron. Edson pedestal steering. Bow pulpit and stern rail. Double lifelines with boarding gates port and starboard. Two opening overhead butterfly hatches. Four chromed dorade vents. Four opening ports.
Sails and Rigging
Yawl rig. Deck stepped single spreader aluminum masts. Harken Mk IV 2 roller-furling system for genoa. Sail inventory includes tanbark fully-battened mainsail and genoa. Lewmar winch inventory includes two self-tailing #43 primary genoa sheet winches, one #8 mounted on starboard cabin top, one #8 mounted on mast, and one #13 mounted on mast. Mid-boom mainsheet traveler.
Additional Inventory
Cockpit cushions, Lifesling man overboard buoy, Danforth-type anchor with chain and nylon rode. Assorted docklines and fenders, boat hook. Manual bilge pump.
