Description
"SOLD AS SEEN". Project Boat due to engine condition. "SOLD AS SEEN".
The 1982 Colvic Countess 28 foot is a solid sea vessel. Well fitted out with sails and equipment of unknown age and condition.
She was once a great east coast cruising vessel and benefits from bilge keels and shallow draught. She still has many years of great service to give to the person who is prepared to breath life back into her.
Please note that this vessel is "Sold as Seen". Some basic cleaning and tidying of the vessel has been undertaken but there will be more to be done.
You will have to assure yourself as to the longevity of the standing and running rigging as its age cannot be determined.
ENGINE ISSUE:
Most importantly to note is that the engine is not currently working and its injectors have been disconnected to prevent it from being started again until the engine issue has been attended to. Prior to coming out of the water and into our boatyard in late 2024, the engine was started but revved uncontrollably and had to be stopped by undoing an injector. Continued running of the engine could have caused catastrophic engine damage.
