Description
Nauticat 33 – “Elizabeth”
Elizabeth is an excellent example of the highly regarded Nauticat 33, a proven Pacific Northwest cruising motor-sailor known for comfort, durability, and all-weather capability. She has been owned for many years by an experienced yachtsman and has benefited from consistent professional maintenance and thoughtful upgrades. This vessel is clean, functional, and ready to cruise.
While clearly a true motor-sailor, the ketch rig allows for excellent balance under sail and provides enjoyable sailing performance when conditions allow. Nauticat 33s were built from 1967 through 1996, with more than 1,100 vessels produced—an enduring testament to the strength of the design.
Construction
The Nauticat 33 is built with solid fiberglass hull and deck construction, with no coring. This eliminates common concerns associated with deck core saturation, particularly under teak decks. While heavier than many modern boats, this construction provides exceptional strength and long-term durability.
