Description
Sea Scout is turnkey and ready for island cruising. She has been well cared for, and her maintenance been regularly kept and logged. The Catalina 34 is one of the most popular mid-sized cruising sailboats ever built. Its layout and design are known for being roomy, comfortable, and easy to sail. Sea Scout has been tried and true, and provides the confidence to start your journey into coastal cruising. The Catalina 34 strikes a balance between performance and cruising comfort, making it a favorite among coastal cruisers and club racers alike.
The Catalina 34 tracks well, with a responsive but not overly heavy wheel. The moderate displacement and beamy hull give stability, making it a confidence-building boat for cruisers. All sail controls are led aft to the cockpit. The relatively tall mast and decent sail area (around 528 sq ft) let it move respectably in 6–8 knots of breeze. Sea Scout is stable enough for a family or novice crew, but still fun for a sailor who enjoys tweaking sail trim.
