Description
Nauticat 38 LATTE' ( HIN SLT38229C787 ) stands out as an exceptionally well-maintained vessel whose owners have extensively upgraded her navigation, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical and propulsion systems. Built by Siltala Yachts OY of Finland, Nauticat 38s are renown for their high-quality craftsmanship, comfort and durability. LATTE's cutter-rigged ketch design combines balanced sailing performance with the best characteristics of a robust motor sailboat. She has a 3/4 full keel with cutaway forefoot, skeg-hung rudder and a bow thruster.
LATTE's teak interior includes a large, private, en-suite aft cabin and a second private V-berth cabin forward. She has two heads with showers, a roomy salon with U-shaped dinette, a full galley and lots of storage. Her spacious pilothouse includes a central helm station, an L-shaped settee and large surrounding windows that offer excellent 360 degree visibility both underway and while relaxing at anchor. The pilothouse has a large sliding skylight hatch for added light, ventilation and watching sail trim. The vessel can be sailed or motored from the raised aft deck helm station or the heated comfort of the pilothouse.
The boat is currently hauled out at Haven Boatworks in Port Townsend, WA. When the current owners purchased LATTE' they brought the boat to Haven to make safety upgrades and prepare her for cruising. Their plans unfortunately changed due to health reasons. Projects at Haven Boatworks are scheduled to continue while the boat is on the market. See " Haven Boatworks Projects" list for full details.
