Description
ELETTRA Perini Navi 1987 is the first of three 80-foot sister sailing yachts built by the famous Perini Navi shipyard. She was launched in 1987, featuring numerous unique characteristics and innovations and, testament to her appealing design and build quality, was the recipient of the 1987 Media Sea Italia Trophy.
With this design, Bruce King Yacht Design brought the revolutionary concepts of Perini Navi to the world of smaller, fiberglass yachts.
ELETTRA sports the first ever fully integrated cockpit area aboard a yacht of this kind. It resides within an enclosure that’s designed to offer robust shelter from the elements and provide a more purposeful alfresco dining arrangement.
Other highlights of this yacht’s design include a hemispherical helm wheel encompassing the navigation pod, and a recessed half deck pilot house leading to the main saloon and dining area.
There’s accommodation aboard ELETTRA for seven guests in three ensuite cabins, as well as quarters for three crew. The arrangement comprises an owner’s cabin with a desk/vanity unit and ample closet space, a guest double with an additional pullman berth, and a twin cabin.
ELETTRA’s other innovations include a retractable bow thruster, one of the first feathering propellers and a lifting, pivoting daggerboard.
Originally built for the founder of the famous yard, she has benefited from a top-down refit and upgrade of her engineering systems, hull, decks, rigging and sailing systems as well as a new striking hull colour under her present ownership. ELETTRA is in set-sail condition for her new owner and offers a magnificent opportunity to become part of an elite club of yachting enthusiasts.
