Description
1989 Island Packet IP 35 with Center Board
An excellently maintained and updated classic cruising yacht that I have sailed from New Jersey to Florida to the Bahamas and Virginia to BVI. For the last 8 years we have cruised all of the eastern Caribbean and the ABCs.
This full keel shallow draft (3’8”) yacht was excellent for the ICW, Florida and the Bahamas. The lowered center board provides 7’2” draft making it excellent for the Caribbean and long passages.
Engine was partially rebuilt in 2024 and full service to heat exchanger as well as all new hoses. Cutlass bearing and Prop Shaft Seal replaced 2023. Centerboard brackets fabricated by FKG and installed with new Kevlar line in 2024. Chain plates (2017) and rigging (2024) changed, arch installed with solar panels, antennas, davits and wind generator (2019) . Cockpit, salon and v berth cushions updated as well as light fixtures. Electronics such as MFD, AIS, Radar and battery monitor have all been updated. Many spare parts, tools, kitchenware and towels, etc.
Rainman water maker (24g/hr), Honda generator and a 2022 Highfield 290 Ultralight dinghy and 9.8hp motor included. Safety equipment includes 4 person Viking life raft, Inflating Danbouy, Lifesling and auto-inflate PFDS (one has ResQlink personal locator beacon with AIS.

The engine underwent a partial rebuild in 2024. The top end was rebuilt, Injectors rebuilt, Springs, Heat exchanger was cleaned, Valves were replaced and all new hoses put on.
