Description

Designed by renowned designer Robert H. Perry, the Nordic 40 was built to the highest of standards and over the years has proven to be a fast, capable blue water cruiser. Her hull is solid fiberglass. The deck is balsa cored with sold glass under deck hardware which is through-bolted to backing plates.

Her sail plan along with performance keel and rudder deliver superb performance, especially when going to weather. In the realm of iconic 40 footers, the Nordic 40 is considered to be among the best of the best.

“Nordic Venture” is in absolutely fantastic condition and it’s obvious from the moment you step aboard that her owners have taken every measure to keep her in top condition and that they take great pride in her.   The photos included accurately represent her appearance and anyone stepping aboard would immediately be impressed (please email request for high definition photos).

New heat exchanger w/new zinc

Racor fuel filter and water separator (new fuel filters are used each year and we have extras).

Also important to use Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15w-40. Engine takes 8 quarts . Also use Wix oil filters.

Oil analysis is taken each fall when the oil is changed.

Owner has always used ablative bottom paint
