Description
Characteristic Haliotis 37-Foot Sailing Yacht
“Small” boat for big journeys
Sailing yacht, equipped for ocean crossings and very comfortable for long-term stays. Open
it offers an unparalleled sense of space for a boat of this size.
Originally designed as a pure sailing boat, the 18 HP outboard motor is retractable and protected
by a cover, minimizing water resistance.
The construction was uncompromising with high-quality materials (marine plywood,
stainless steel screws, PU glue, 2-component PU paint, epoxy laminates). We have never had any issues
with the construction; it was designed for durability and trouble-free travel.
Cruising boat with plenty of storage space and compartments. This very bright sailing boat features 5 opening hatches that provide excellent ventilation. The polycarbonate windows were replaced with Plexiglas in 2011 (significantly better UV resistance). The view from the inside is exceptional thanks to the 9 hull windows from everywhere.
The boat is designed for economical consumption and is equipped with 2 foot-operated water pumps as well as a hand-operated seawater pump. The stove and heating are powered by kerosene, ensuring absolute safety (no leaks or explosions with gas). At that time, kerosene was the only readily available fuel for cruising. The seat covers in the salon are still usable but should be replaced in the near future. This boat is ready to sail and is just waiting for a sailor who loves classic sailing and the retro design of this dinghy.
As I live in Switzerland, I only organize visits on specific dates and for a few days
in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône at the Marine shipyard (Westpark, Gang F).
Remarks
The boat can be equipped with an inboard motor (e.g., Yanmar, max. 30 HP).
The stated price is negotiable and depends on the chosen options.
The boat is registered under the Polish flag.
