Not long ago "Sailing Star" was supplied with new sails, both mainsail and headsail with the radialized paneling. She also includes a Stack Pack with lazy jacks to assist in handling the mainsail. The sexy slant deck not only looks great, but adds to better deck footing forward. Current in design with its OPEN TRANSOM/Great Swim Ladder design and large aft head/shower and big aft berth, the Hunter 30 is "family, cruiser" friendly. For those of you how might enjoy club racing, you will enjoy the boat's performance.
Another current thought about this 30's design is the "big" main and relative small genoa. This type of sail plan is VERY helpful to those of us who might be single handing or "short handing" sailing. She is manageable and her 11' beam adds to the stiffness of the boat in a breeze.
