Description
NORFOLK GYPSY - GAFF TRAILER SAILOR
The Norfolk Gypsy is a 20 ft traditional looking Gunter Rigged Yacht with a high peaked Gaff. Designed and built by The North Norfolk Boat Building Company to replicate a traditional Gaff, the Norfolk Gypsy is constructed from GRP for ease of maintenance, but using a large amount of hardwood, oak, teak and spruce, as well as brass, bronze and galvanised steel to create an authentic look. This particular Gypsy, known as “Gypsy Girl” is actually Hull number 2 and presented in very good condition, having been clearly loved and maintained by her previous Owners. Her traditional Red Sails are only approx. 5 years old and have had very little use and she is fitted with a Yanmar 1GM – 10 HP inboard diesel engine, comes with a small gas hob and even a Camping Toilet. This Norfolk Gypsy is an absolutely charming boat that in our opinion will really turn heads. With the style & lines of traditional yachts but the advantages of a GRP hull, this boat has a very solid feel to her with a finish & quality that we believe is hard to beat. With her manual lifting keel and Rudder, this is a yacht that can take you to anchorages that others would not even dare and she can dry out comfortably. Fitted with a Yanmar 1GM diesel engine, GPS, VHF, Speed, Wind & Depth Gauges, this Gypsy is ready for her next adventure. This Norfolk Gypsy is a boat that will bring a smile to her Crew’s faces with the massive advantage of being tailorable to wherever you wish to sail. Once you step aboard, it is clear to see that this boat has been finished to a very high specification and is presented in very good condition. Given that Gypsy Girl was Hull Number 2, she is a beautiful boat that is looking for more of a new Custodian than an Owner.
Additionally, Gypsy Girl’s story continues to be an interesting one. In addition to being only the second ever Gypsy Built, her current Owner purchased her several years ago, after falling in love at first sight. Sadly, his health deteriorated not long after purchase and he is now offering 100% of his proceeds of the sale to The Discovery Sailing Project, a sailing charity that provides offshore sailing experiences for young people. Therefore, whomever purchases Gypsy Girl will not only own a stunning boat, but you will also be helping the next generation fall in love with the passion of sailing.
