Description
The 1995 Sundeer 56, designed by Steve and Linda Dashew, is renowned for its robust construction and focus on fast, short-handed, world cruising.
The narrow, efficient hull shape and long waterline (56 feet) allows for daily runs of 200+ miles while maintaining a comfortable motion of slicing through the waves rather than pounding over them.
All control lines are led back to the aft cockpit, allowing a couple or single person to manage the sails, including reefing, without going forward on the deck.
6- foot draft enables access to shallow anchorages.
Water tight doors divide the interior into 3 sections.
Oversized and high quality deck hardware, heavy duty electric windlass, and substantial ground tackle are standard features.
Substantial tankage incorporated for fuel and water affording extended cruising.
Deck is designed for water catchment.
Large engine room/lazarette for mechanical systems and a designated forward sail and gear locker
