CONSTRUCTION:

Built in September 1996. GRP construction with long keel, transom hung rudder, blue topsides, teak bulwarks, off white superstructure.   Bermudan ketch rig. Treadmaster on deck and in cockpit. Teak cockpit grating.  5 berths in 2 cabins with around 6ft headroom.  

Note - new Coppercoat coatings professionally applied by Tollesbury Marina September 2025.

SAILS and RIG:

Slab reefing mainsail (2 reefs, 2020) with stack pack mainsail cover & lazyjacks.  Mizzen (2020) with stack pack sail cover and lazyjacks.  Furlex genoa roller reefing system.  Furling No 1 Genoa (2020).  Cruising chute (2020). Alloy masts and booms.  Stainless steel standing rigging (Renewed 2020 TS Rigging).

ENGINE:

Yanmar 3GM30 3 cylinder 27hp inboard diesel engine (1996).  Serial No 18819.   Shaft drive to fixed 3 blade propeller (treated with Hempel Silic One September 2025).  New head gasket 2020.  Racor dual fuel filter installation with change over. Approx 150 litre stainless steel fuel tank.  Various engine spares.  Exhaust elbow renewed 2025.

BOWTHRUSTER

Vetus bowthruster with control at helm.

ELECTRICS:

Alternator charging to 2 x heavy duty 12v batteries (approx 2020).  Battery voltage monitor.  60w Wilgen solar panel (2021) mounted on wheelhouse.  240v shore power with battery charger.  All lights, internal and external, changed to LED.

DECK GEAR:

Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, full bespoke cockpit canopy (Dolphin 2020), teak cockpit grating, Lagun cockpit table (doubles as saloon table), cockpit cushions, stainless steel bathing ladder on transom, hook-on bathing ladder, boat hooks, tiller, 2 sheet winches with tailers, halyard winches, outboard bracket on pushpit, inflatable dinghy (2021) with 2hp outboard motor, Rocna main anchor with 30m of calibrated chain, Quick electric anchor windlass, stainless steel extended bow roller, Bruce kedge anchor with chain and warp, mooring warps and fenders.

NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT:

Plastimo compass, TackTick depth sounder , log, windspeed and wind direction.  Cobra DSC VHF radio (2022) with masthead aerial, emergency VHF aerial, Cobra hand held VHF radio, Autohelm ST4000 autopilot, B & G chart plotter (2023) with B & G radar (2024).  Garmin 152 GPS, Clipper GPS repeater.  Icom MA-500TR AIS (2020). Chart stowage, chart table, clock and barometer, navigation lights, steaming light, tricolour masthead light and anchor plus, portable anchor light.

SAFETY GEAR:

Seago 4 person liferaft (in date), horseshoe lifebuoy with light, air horn, first aid kit, 4 lifejackets, auto engine fire extinguisher, manual fire extinguisher, fire blanket, gas detector, CO detector, smoke detector, bosuns chair, EPIRB, manual bilge pump, auto electric bilge pump.

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT:

Eberspacher diesel hot air heating with 2 outlets (2021).  Her galley has a Plastimo gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill, microwave, 3.5 litre 240v water boiler, refrigerator (2022), pots, pans, cutlery and crockery as seen, electric pumped cold water supply to sink from approx 100 litre flexible water tank, Seagull water filter. Her separate heads compartment has a Jabsco marine toilet (new pump 2023)  with folding wash basin and tap.  Blue fabric upholstery to cabin (2020) and cream upholstery to wheelhouse. Curtains.  Opening forward hatch with blind & solar vent, 2 saloon vents. 

ACCOMMODATION:

5 berths including two 6'6" "V" berths in the separate forward cabin.  Her original saloon table has an extra cushion to form a saloon double berth.  Quarter berth with chart table over.

OWNERS REMARKS:

Piper is offered for sale to a discerning owner. The boat is in full commission, having recently participated in the 55th Anniversary Fisher Rally in Cowes. After two months’ cruising on the south coast of England, covering more than 600 miles, Piper has returned to her home port on the Essex coast.
