The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.

Text from Lagoon Brochure:
The 470 is one of the new generation of catamarans invented by Lagoon. Thanks to the collaboration of architects Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot-Prevost with the designer Xavier Faÿ, the immense living space can be arranged into three different layouts making ingenious use of the possibilities. At sea, with an extended mast and an overlapping genoa, the Lagoon 47 hulls are rejuvenated. The extraordinarily comfortable cockpit was cleverly designed to accommodate navigation, and intentionally encourages idleness. The Lagoon 470 is so innovative in it's concept and innumerable carefully studied details that in comparison with catamarans of the past is truly the difference between night and day.
