The Catalina 380 was 1997 Midsize Cruiser of the Year, and for good reason. Its clean deck and cockpit, spacious main salon, and well designed rigging still hold value in the coastal cruiser club. AUSarah is a delightfully well maintained and upgraded Catalina 380. Her current owners of 18 years have kept her up meticulously and she is in excellent condition. Upgrades include new 130% Genoa, new hatch and portlight lenses, new interior lights, new instruments, and more.
Deck and rigging
New Rocna anchor and windless. Forward shore power connection in anchor locker. Tall rig option with low friction luff track, classic main with Dutchman system, and masthead furling genoa. New blocks for running rigging at maststep. Traveler forward of cockpit with main sheeting led to two coachroof Lewmar 40 winches. Two Lewmar 54 primary winches. Newer instruments and removable chartplotter. Removable raised helm seat. Hot and cold cockpit shower. Aft shore power connection on sugar scoop transom.
Accommodations
Spacious companionway leads to galley on the left. Front and top loading refrigerator, 3 burner stove, dry storage, sink with new hot water tank and hoses, microwave, ample counterspace and stowage. Large aft cabin with queen sized bed, seating and lockers accessed from both port and starboard. Comfortable head with separate shower stall is to starboard of the companionway. Main saloon has a u shaped settee with telescoping table to create third bunk to port and nav station with another settee to starboard. Ships clock and barometer on the forward bulkhead. Forward cabin has large V berth, vanity sink, hanging locker and more stowage below the berth. All hatches and portlights are new and have new seals.
