Accomodation

This Hunter 380 is designed for comfortable living aboard and entertaining, offering a spacious and practical layout.

Spacious Cockpit: A large, dry cockpit with brand new cushions and a full enclosure with Strataglass windows, made in 2022, provides an excellent outdoor living space for dining, entertaining, or relaxing. The well-placed windows on the top allow great visibility of the mainsail. You will spend most of your time in this area. In the summer, take out all the side curtains and enjoy the aft rail seating.

Private Aft Cabin: A full-width aft cabin allows for a comfortable, queen-sized+ berth and offers a private retreat for the owners. Lots of storage and even a comfortable seat, which is a rarity on boats of this size.

Versatile Interior: The salon features a large C-shaped dinette on the starboard side with a settee to port, perfect for lounging and meals. The dinette can be made into another double bed if required.

Forward Cabin: Forward, a large, dedicated V-berth with vanity, provides a second private sleeping area for children or guests. There is a louvred window into the salon to aid airflow through the forward berth.

Domestic Equipment

Fully equipped for self-sufficient cruising, "Norske Vandrer" ensures comfort in any season. Enjoy the comforts of home, from a warm cabin on a chilly evening to a hot shower after a day on the water.

Galley: Features a Force 10 three-burner stove with oven, a fridge and separate freezer, Corian countertops, and a Goldstar microwave. Cooking for a crew is a pleasure with lots of amenities. Dickinson Force 10 BBQ in the cockpit.

Heating & Hot Water: An Espar Diesel D5 hydronic heating system (replaced 2023) provides cozy, dry heat throughout the boat. A hot and cold pressurized water system with a transom shower adds convenience.

Head: The head features a pump toilet (new 2018) and a separate shower area. A new shower sump was installed in 2017.

Electrical Systems

Designed for energy independence, this vessel can stay off-grid for extended periods. The powerful solar array significantly reduces generator runtime, allowing for quiet, sustainable anchoring.

Power Generation: A 100 AMP upgraded alternator and two 120 Amp portable solar panels with a Victron regulator keep the batteries topped up.

Battery Bank: A robust house bank of four 6V golf-cart batteries (232 AH) provides ample power, supported by a dedicated 12V start battery.

Management & Protection: A Promariner Battery Charger, Xantrex Battery Monitor, and comprehensive 110/12V power panel offer full control and protection.

Navigation & Instruments

Fully equipped with modern, integrated electronics for safe and confident passage-making. Cruise with confidence knowing you have a full suite of reliable, modern electronics to guide you.

Chartplotter & Radar: A Raymarine ES97 9" Chartplotter/GPS is integrated with a Raymarine Quantum Radar for precise navigation and situational awareness.

Communication & Safety: An ICOM M42G VHF DSC radio and an AIS transceiver allow you to be seen and to communicate clearly with other vessels and marine traffic control.

Autopilot: An Autohelm Autopilot (serviced 2018) reduces fatigue on long passages.

Entertainment: Bluetooth stereo, Clarion cockpit speakers, 24″ TV (INR), DVD Player

Ground Tackle

Built for secure and easy anchoring in a variety of conditions. Sleep soundly at night knowing your ground tackle is robust and well-deployed for a secure hold.

Anchor & Rode: Primary anchor is a 35 lb Delta CQR with 120' of 3/8" G4 high-test chain and 300' of 1/2" nylon rode.

Windlass: An electric windlass makes anchoring and retrieving effortless.

Security: Equipped with a Mantus swivel and a KONG Chain Gripper to securely take the load off the windlass.

Mechanical

Reliable and well-maintained propulsion systems for getting home safely. The proven Yanmar engine, combined with ongoing servicing, ensures reliable performance under power.

Engine: A dependable 36 HP Yanmar 3-cylinder diesel engine (serviced March 2022) provides ample power. A new starter motor was installed in June 2024.

Auxiliary Equipment: Features a PSS Dripless Shaft Seal, a 2-blade propeller, and a 110/12V power panel. Edson rack & pinion steering

Fuel & Water: Carries 30 US gallons of diesel and 75 US gallons of fresh water.

Sails and Rigging

Rigged for easy and safe sailing, ideally set up for single-handed operation. The furling systems and cockpit-led lines mean you can easily manage the entire boat from the safety of the cockpit, whether sailing solo or with a crew.

Sails: Features a Selden in-mast furling mainsail and a furling 110% genoa (both serviced 2024) for effortless sail handling.

Winches: Lewmar ST44 and ST40 self-tailing winches provide powerful and easy control of all lines, which are led aft to the cockpit.

Manufacturers Description

Hunter Marine's 380 is an evolutionary boat that comes from innovation and consumer input. Comfort, convenience, and livability is what the Hunter 380 is all about. Abundant natural light streams in from the Hunter signature windshield and the many fixed and screened ports - not to mention the multiple overhead hatches which also bring in a tremendous amount of fresh air. At anchor or at the dock, the placement of the ports assure you of great ventilation, and reverse cycle air and heat are an optional choice for cruising comfort. Entertaining or handling the family is easy with the enlarged salon complete with a convertible dinette and facing settee. Storage is plentiful, as is electronic space at the integrated nav station. A Corian covered, full-service galley comes complete - right down to the dishware - and any chef will adore the side-by-side ice boxes and top-loading trash bin set each side of the double basin, stainless sink. The private forward stateroom includes an en suite vanity with sink and storage as well as plenty of hanging locker space and drawer storage. Aft, there is a master stateroom with a huge queen berth and more storage. Privacy is enhanced by the dual access head that offers a Corian covered vanity, and electric marine head and shower stall all wrapped in a complete fiberglass shell for easy cleaning and maintenance. A tri-cabin version is also available for those who want to accommodate even more family or friends. On deck, the cockpit is designed for the comfort of the skipper and crew - not for the ease of the builder. By bringing the coaming out to the gunners, Hunter has increased the overall space to incredible proportions - including seating for eight. A custom console with folding table leaves is perfect for those al fresco meals.
