The Sweden Yachts 45 – a beautifully built yacht with a perfect balance between performance and comfort, is a highly regarded model from the renowned Sweden Yachts yard, first introduced in 1999. The design is appreciated for its combination of excellent sailing performance, high comfort and ease of handling – a true blue water cruiser that also excels as a comfortable coastal cruising yacht.
The hull and rig are designed to deliver both performance and safe handling, even with a smaller crew. The cockpit is laid out to provide the helmsman with a secure working environment, even in challenging conditions. The deck layout is clean and functional, free from unnecessary obstacles, making her easy to sail.
Below deck, the interior built in selected mahogany, is thoughtfully planned, offering three cabins with six fixed berths, two heads with showers, an L-shaped galley, navigation station and a spacious saloon with a U-shaped sofa. There is ample room for extended stays on board.
This particular example LEONA, has an unusually careful ownership history. The first owner kept the yacht for about 20 years. For the first about 15 years, she was used for family cruising around 3–4 weeks each summer, while the rest of the year she was kept indoors in a hall for approximately ten months. From around 2015 until autumn 2020, she was not sailed at all but remained in indoor storage.
The current owner took over in autumn 2020 and has since sailed five seasons on the Swedish east coast in freshwater. During this time, the yacht has received several upgrades and has been continuously maintained. For the winter of 2025/26, she is stored indoors in Loftahammar. Thanks to having spent so much of her life indoors, LEONA is in exceptionally fine overall condition for her age.
