Description
Bruce Farr design insures that this 2001 Beneteau 461 is a handsome and fine sailing vessel. "Oya", (the wind goddess of the Yoruba tradition) is a strong and capable blue water cruiser. With her design flair the 461 included forward thinking design ideas such as her almost plumb bow, and her wide beam carried well aft show that the 461 was well a head of her time. The keel has both bulb and small wings for optimal performance in a shoal draft configuration.
Former boat of the year award winner. Cruising World gave it the prestigious Best Value award in the Full-Size Cruiser category. "Oya" has been very well maintained and never been in charter service. Some of her upgrades since 2021 inlcude: new main, standing and running rigging, solar array, SS rails, steering and Morse control cables, thru hulls, pressure tank and pump, toilets, cockpit sun shades and re-stitched bimini, and upholstery in main salon.
All you need is to put your gear on board and go sailing. Be sure to click on full specs to see all she has to offer!

Accommodations and walkthrough
Below decks the forward owner's cabin, w/ ensuite head with sink and shower, is large with plenty of head room and overhead ports for ventilation and natural light. Moving aft to the main salon area with oval shaped settee and table on starboard and large settee to port. Continuing aft to port is the navigation center and across to starboard is the L-shaped expansive galley with w/ plenty of working counter space as well as large stove, plenty of storage and fridge space.
The salon and large galley lends itself very well to a great entertaining boat with plenty of room for families and friends to spread out and enjoy themselves both on deck and down below. Seating to Stbd. is ample and sure to keep the crew not only comfortable and well fed, and also provides a great space for entertainment on a foul weather day.
