Description

The Dufour Gibsea 33 has been set up for safe cruising, with a balanced sail plan and a sturdy hull. This particular example also has a strong inventory of equipment. And when you step inside you’ll be struck by the finish and quality of these boats from the renowned Gilbert Marine (a part of Dufour). Their cruising credentials are extremely impressive with spacious, comfortable accommodation boasting, for example, a huge heads/shower compartment and an aft cabin that puts a lot of rivals to shame. With a large uncluttered cockpit, the Dufour Gibsea 33 is truly perfect for family cruising.

This example of the Dufour Gibsea 33 has had only two owners from new and has been subject to conscientious care and upgrades throughout. Her standing rigging was replaced in 2016 (and inspected in 2024 when her masthead lights were upgraded to LED); and her inventory includes 2 x Simrad Chartplotters, radar, autopilot, long anchor chain and bimini.

She lies in Poole Harbour and can be viewed on her picturesque swinging mooring, which makes a very pleasant trip (subject to wearing mandatory lifejackets on the service launch); or, she can be brought into the Yacht Club marina for viewing on the pontoon.

Owner's Comments

As a first-time boat-buyer, I was looking for a well maintained, safe, family cruising yacht and I was lucky enough to find Reflections for sale by a couple who’d owned her from new (their fourth boat) and who, in advancing years, were retiring from sailing.

In my seven very satisfying years of ownership, I have continued their policy of meticulous maintenance and upgrading.  The boat handles beautifully and I have felt utterly confident sailing her across open sea (such as across The Channel and further to Southern Brittany) as well as along the coast.  Her layout both outside and down below make her a very comfortable cruising yacht.  I am only selling her so that I can buy a racing boat, but I will miss her.
