Scandinavian quality – recent refit – ready for serious sea voyages
Meet Shieldmaiden, an exceptionally well-maintained Malö 45 Classic from 2001. This model is known for its solid construction, safe sailing characteristics, and the warm, timeless interior that Malö is valued for worldwide.
Although officially a 45 Classic, the hull is identical to the later built 46 Classic – a proven and highly regarded base within the Malö series.
Refits & upgradesIn 2019, Shieldmaiden underwent a thorough refit at the Malö yard in Orust, Sweden, which included:
Completely new teak deck
New generator
New, extra heavy rigging
Updated heating system
In 2023, the following were also replaced:
AIS system
Roll genoa
Mattresses for: Neptune Comfort plus line mattresses airlift 10 mm.
Furthermore, it is equipped with four electric winches, making sailing comfortable and efficient, even with a small crew.
