Manufacturer Provided Description
Take the helm of the Tartan 4100 and experience the impressive responsiveness of this yacht, designed to glide gracefully through the waters. Now, step below deck to explore her spacious and comfortable interior. With a harmonious blend of appealing aesthetics and a powerful profile, the Tartan 4100 is a yacht crafted for those who seek high performance without compromising on comfort.
Forward cabin has a large comfortable V-Berth with under bunk storage. There is a vanity and sink to port and a large storage locker to starboard. The forward hatch and opening ports provide excellent ventilation. The large opening panel in the forward bulkhead provides airflow through the entire boat. The U-shaped settee to port will accommodate your guests and can be converted into a double bed if needed. The large and comfortable aft cabin has a private entrance to the head, which includes a separate shower stall.
She has a Dodger and Bimini with connector panel to keep the sun and rain off you as well as a Marine Air reverse cycle heat/AC unit and a Shore Water Inlet for life at the dock.
Her mast head rig (stepped on the keel) has a hydraulic backstay adjuster to tighten the forestay when beating to windward. Her Leisure Furl Boom makes lowering the mainsail a “breeze.” Once lowered, the mainsail cover (stored in the boom) is pulled into place. No clumsy sail cover to deal with. And, unlike in the mast furling systems, the mainsail has full battens and a proper roach. There is also an owner designed boom stabilizer which prevents the boom swaying when “rolled” by waves with the mainsail down.
As a “proper yacht,” her 12 portholes are stainless steel and all open providing amazing ventilation. Her 8,000 lbs keel is solid lead, not lead incased in fiberglas.
If you have been looking for a cruising sailboat that is also a serious passage maker, this is a must-see vessel.
