Description
The Alerion-Express 28 has become one of the most sought after designs on the market today, especially so for those looking to downsize without giving up quality and performance. Based on the popular wooden Alerion 26 that was originally designed by Nathanial Herreshoff in 1912, the updated (circa 1990) Alerion Express 28 is the creation of navel architect Carl Schumacher; who added to the waterline and interior while retaining the original cockpit design and dimensions. Blending the traditional lines of the original design with modern fiberglass construction techniques, a modern fractional rig and a the speed and efficiency of an elliptical keel and spade rudder, the Alerion-Express 28 offers a beautiful balance of aesthetics and performance. Whether passing one on the dock or better yet, seeing one under sail, it is immediately clear why so many sailors have come to be the proud owners of this classic daysailor/weekender.
Halcyon has been tenderly cared for by her originally owners who have seen to it that she has always been professionally maintained by one of the finest yards in New England.

Comments
Halcyon has been tenderly cared for by her originally owners who have seen to it that she has always been professionally maintained by one of the finest yards in New England. When the owner commissioned her to be built, he opted to include many upgrades including full electronics, marine head and autopilot. Halcyon shows beautifully inside and out.
Highly Recommended!
