The Hutting 40 'Aura' has proven itself on numerous long-distance voyages, primarily to northern destinations. Formerly known as 'Nika' and known from the Dutch book De Noorderzon, where the previous owner shares his story of their dream trip along the Lofoten with this Hutting 40.
This aluminum centerboard yacht is the ultimate sailing yacht for long-distance sailing, known for its high safety standards, stable performance, and comfortable interior with a lot of storage capacity. The yacht is in excellent condition and ready for new adventures. The yacht can be viewed it in our harbor in Makkum.

Ideal alu centerboard ocean cruiser
The Hutting 40 'Aura' is constructed from aluminium and equipped with a centerboard, making it ideal for coastal and bay sailing. The teak deck is in good condition, as are the sails (main/ jib, Gennaker), engine etc. It is fully equipped, and all sailing maneuvers can be easily handled from the cockpit.
The yacht offers a safe and comfortable home away from home for extended journeys. With generous headroom (1.95m to 2m throughout the boat), the interior feels open and airy. The layout includes a double bed on the side and at the rear of the yacht, with smaller berths in the forward section—perfect for children or additional storage.
Designed for four people, the interior provides plenty of room for comfort, storage and a practical navigation table equipped with all necessary tools and technology.
