Description
Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 – 2002 – Equipped for long voyages
Sun Odyssey 40 from 2002, three-cabin version with one bathroom.
This is a third-hand boat, carefully followed and maintained, designed for long cruising.
It recently returned from a trip around the Atlantic, completed without any issues. Over the past five years, all equipment has been reviewed or replaced: rigging revised, safety equipment checked and updated, sails monitored and maintained. The boat is equipped for offshore sailing, with a beacon, Iridium, and all safety equipment compliant with offshore navigation.
For life on board and autonomy, it is equipped with a custom stainless steel arch with integrated davits, combined with solar panels that ensure independence while sailing and at anchor. Comfort has not been overlooked: the bimini and dodger are new, and an asymmetrical spinnaker on a retractable bowsprit completes the inventory for performance and enjoyment under sail.
The engine is an asset of this boat: a 55-horsepower Yanmar, a rare option on this model, which offers power and safety, especially during tricky passages or long sails. With its short draft of 1.50 m, the boat remains seaworthy while allowing easy access to shallow anchorages, lagoons, and coves.
This is a well-maintained, reliable unit, ready to set off immediately for new offshore projects. A complete file, with numerous photos and a detailed inventory, is available upon request.
A berth can also be offered.
