Description

Description

EmMi is a 2003 Passport 456 Center Cockpit cutter rigged sloop, ready to take you cruising throughout the Chesapeake, Caribbean, or around the world! Designed by legendary naval architect Robert Perry, she was quality built in China & thoughtfully finished by Passport Yachts in Annapolis, MD. She was commissioned by her first owners in the Summer of 2003 on the Chesapeake Bay and after one season the boat was moved to Jamestown, Rhode Island. Due to the relatively short seasons in Rhode Island, she was only lightly enjoyed. In 2009 she found a new owner and has taken her crew safely to and from the United States & Caribbean via the Caribbean 1500 and Salty Dawg Rally’s. She is a comfortable & well-founded blue water boat with nearly 19k miles under her keel, ideally equipped and constructed in the manner for anyone wanting to enjoy serious ocean cruising or coastal sailing near home. They don’t make them like this anymore!

Interior

EmMi is a two-cabin center cockpit boat with the added benefit of a utility/workroom. Double walk throughs in the galley and utility room enable one to gain easy access to the aft master state room from port or starboard. The interior is bright, open, and airy with beautiful teak joinery and finishes everywhere complimented by leather upholstery. Ventilation and lighting is abundant with many large opening hatches and portlights, all with removable insect screens. Four large adjustable dorade cowl vents funnel air into the main salon and aft cabin during inclement weather and prevent mold and mildew. Forward is the guest state room with a v-berth, ensuite head and separate shower stall. Outboard of the berth are lockers and book shelves and ample storage is available under the berth and in a hanging locker and a shelf locker. Aft of the guest stateroom is the main saloon with a u-shaped dinette, with large and small tables to port and a settee to starboard. A removable table for the settee effectively makes the settee into two chairs and when the table is stowed the settee makes an excellent sea berth, equipped with lee cloth. The fully equipped aft facing navigation station is to starboard aft of the settee and is in close proximity to the companionway steps for easy access to the cockpit. Again, there is exceptional storage behind both settees and in numerous lockers.

Continuing aft on starboard side. is a large walk thru galley, sea-kindly with more than enough work surface area to prepare gourmet meals and includes a deep double level top entry freezer, a multi-level refrigerator with top access as well as door access to lower space. Double sink with fresh and raw water foot pedals supplement the pressure water system equipped with a Seagull water purifier and Grohe faucet. Microwave oven and gimballed gas 3 burner range and oven make cooking for guests a breeze.

To port aft of the main saloon is the utility/workroom, with a workbench, lockers for tools and convertible for a washer/dryer space with AC electrical in cabinet. Double door access to the Yanmar diesel in both the galley and work room, as well as under companionway stairs provide ample mechanical room access.

The master state room can be accessed via the galley or the utility room and contains a queen-sized island berth with counter space, lockers and book shelves on either side of the berth. Storage is available in four drawers under the berth, and two large hanging lockers and a shelf locker. The ensuite head with separate shower stall is to port aft of the utility room. Both heads are equipped with raw water, Thetford electric flush heads.
