Description
"New Journey" is a well maintained Dufour 40 Performance, featuring a 2 cabin 1 head layout. The 40P will excite the sailor who enjoys performance but also needs the interior amenities for family cruising. This model will cover those bases.
For the racer she features a fully battened mainsail with end-boom sheeting, large destroyer wheel and instrumentation on either side of the binnacle for quick and easy referencing. For cruising mode, she has the comforts of having a dodger and bimini, dinghy on davits and a large comfortable cockpit for the family to relax in.
Down below, the cabin is heated with an Espar diesel heater. The interior is spacious and inviting featuring warm African Mahogany cabinetry. There is a well appointed L-shaped galley to port with good storage and counter space. The salon features a large u-shaped dinette and a bench seat allowing for plenty of relaxation for the family. The owners cabin forward features a pullman double berth with plenty of storage. The guest cabin aft features a large double berth. The head features two separate areas. There is the toilet and vanity in one compartment and the shower is in a separate compartment.
Regular maintenance has been performed on New Journey such as yearly engine maintenance/servicing by a professional mechanic. Last bottom painted in 2024, but hauled in 2025 for new zincs and saildrive paint and prop spray.
