The Elan Impression 434 is a beautifully designed and exceptionally well-built cruising yacht, known for its solid performance coupled with modern convenience. Purchased direct from factory in private ownership, this 2005 Elan Impression 434 has been lovingly maintained and never chartered. She carries a Germanischer Lloyd Certification (CE Class A) that assures the highest standards of hull design and construction. After a major refit in 2022/23 of circa USD 200,000, she successfully completed her voyage from the UK to Singapore via the Atlantic & Pacific Oceans, a testament of her exceptional seaworthiness.
The Cockpit is spacious and ideal for relaxed cruising & the well-designed Deck layout & easy Handling systems make it suitable for both family sailing and short-handed adventures. Below deck, the Elan 434 impresses with its bright, airy saloon with generous headroom and flowing panoramic windows. The layout of 2 spacious owner cabins and 2 heads/showers plus a convertible double in the saloon, creates a homely atmosphere and is ideal for all types of voyages. The upgraded galley with electric oven/grill, fridge and separate freezer is well fitted for provisioning & meal preparations. With ample storage, spacious accommodation, and well-thought-out design details, this yacht provides all the comforts for extended cruising.
A thorough review was conducted in conjunction with White Dot Sailing UK as Safety Consultants to prepare the yacht for blue-water sailing. The key highlights include new installations and equipment for performance, safety and comfort: This includes multiple modes of Power generation, storage and monitoring, dual Satellite Communications systems including Starlink, additional self-steering system from Hydrovane, a full set of Blue-water Sails including a Main, Genoa plus furling ultralight Genoa for downwind sailing, Dyneema halyards, Safety equipment including a 6 man over 24 hour life raft, a Water maker, 2 sets of Air conditioners with reverse cycle heating, new Bimini/Spray hood and 2 new marine Toilets. The galley was updated with new Electric stove/oven/grill, Freezer and saltwater tap.
The refit, completed in Portsmouth, UK, was managed by BG Marine to the highest professional standards. She underwent inspection for the Atlantic and World ARC Rallies, meeting all World Cruising Organisers’ safety requirements. Following the refit, she has been continuously well maintained with annual antifouling and system updates.
