Description
Yard: Hunter Marine, USA
Designer: Glenn Henderson
A boat designed and built for cruising, certified OCEAN offshore, in the Hunter style, characterized by quality materials, livable interior volumes, and comfortable maneuvering spaces. THE VERSION IS 3 CABINS, 1 BATHROOM. The boat is well maintained, fully equipped for a very comfortable cruise, with a functional and spacious deck, and interiors that in many cases are like new. A dinette and a saloon that feel like a 42-footer! Spacious and tidy, the L-shaped kitchen is accessed by a large and comfortable ladder from the cockpit, with plenty of headroom in the cabin..... The three cabins are all comfortable and well-equipped with storage and lockers, bright and well-ventilated.
A typical "Hunter," with a roll bar and without a backstay, built with care and easy to handle.
The Hunter 38 was introduced by the namesake American yard in 2004. It is a design by Glenn Henderson for cruising in the typical "Hunter" style, starting from the absence of the backstay and the rear roll bar where the mainsail traveler and the large bimini rest. Built with solid laminate with Kevlar reinforcements in the hull and balsa sandwich in the upper part, it has a maximum beam in the center, a high freeboard, a low and windowed cabin house, a transom platform, and a folding steering wheel to facilitate access to the cockpit. It is easy to handle, responsive, and also fast, powered by a generous mainsail. The interiors are bright, with a galley to starboard and a chart table to port; this one for sale has 3 double cabins.
A wide and sturdy ladder leads from the cockpit to the cabin where to the right opens a beautiful L-shaped kitchen complete with vertical fridge, icebox under the floor, microwave, double sink, two-burner stove, and gas oven. All set in a cherry wood kitchen context with drawers, cabinets, and display cases. All interiors are in cherry wood, mostly solid, always ventilated as needed through the deck hatches and portholes. Beyond the kitchen, the dinette opens up immediately where to the left there is a sofa that can easily serve as a berth if needed, and to the right a beautiful table with a U-shaped sofa, also designed and built with a foldable top on manual pistons to accommodate an additional sleeping place. Forward, the "owner's" cabin is beautiful, bright, with wardrobes on both sides and always immersed in the context of cherry wood.
Completing the internal layout is a large bathroom located on the opposite side of the kitchen, thus to the left.
A prima vista..
