Description
2011 Beneteau Oceanis 40
Oceanis 40 designed by Berret-Racopeau in collaboration with the Italian design firm Nauta Design for the interiors. A synergistic result where luxurious and spacious finishes combine with modern and attractive lines in accordance with the high reliability and performance offered by the prestigious French shipyard.
If we compare them with the previous Oceanis models, we will observe a clear renewal in both lines and deck configuration in the “pilothouse” style. Double steering wheel, smoother circulation in the cockpit, clearer entries, and plenty of brightness and space in its interiors.
The construction is robust in fiberglass with a balsa sandwich on the deck and hull reinforcements with a counter-mold that absorbs the most significant stresses at the points of greatest work, such as the rudder shaft, engine mount, keel, and the points that support the tension of the rigging. The hull has been optimized to improve water entry at the bow, which smooths its sailing behavior.
Between the two helms and in the middle of the cockpit, there is a large table with folding wings, a cooler, and a cigarette lighter type power outlet where we can connect an outdoor light or any other electrical device. At the base of the table, there is a console with an instrument display that can be oriented towards the steering wheel we are using to pilot the boat. All sail controls have been correctly redirected so that we can steer the boat perfectly without leaving the cockpit.
The transition from the cockpit to the swim platform is very comfortable, and on this last one, we find the swim ladder, fresh water shower, and a small central area lined with teak.
Direct heir to the Oceanis Clipper 393 with a weight reduction of 100 kilos down to 7.78 tons and 75 square meters of sails. Depending on the version with 2 or 3 cabins, we will find a U-shaped kitchen or a well-organized linear one.

- The surface of the inner moulding makes cleaning easier and provides a better finish.
- The standard hull colour is white with silver livery; a Steel Blue colour hull is available as an option.
