Class 40 Akilaria RC1

‘Greybeard’ is a very tidy example of a 1st generation Class 40 Akilaria RC1 designed by Marc Lombard and built for competitive offshore racing by MC-TEC shipyard in 2007. These boats are known for their reliability and robustness especially when carefully maintained and are proven, dual-purpose boats that can be cruised in comfort but still surf and hit Class 40 speeds. Equally at home racing or fast cruising these boats have an enviable reputation. ‘Greybeard’ under previous ownership has completed the Atlantic Cup several times with a best placed finish position of 3rd in the 2014 event and 3rd place finish in the 2019 Bermuda One-Two.
