Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate)

 

Hull Construction:

• Hull produced by vacuum assisted infusion, with outer skin from Vinylester and remaining laminate in iso-polyester.
• White gelcoat topsides.
• Sandwich laminate made of 20mm PVC core is used throughout the hull.
• Reinforcement from a mix between woven and uni-directional roving.
• Solid laminate in the keel area as well as the laminate around major through hull fittings.
• Structural GRP reinforcing grid laminated to hull.
• White topcoat on the hull in all lockers, bilges, and similar exposed areas.

 

Deck Construction:

• White gelcoat.
• The deck is produced by vacuum assisted infusion with integrated anti slip surfaces.
• Sandwich laminate between ortho polyester, tri-axial and uni-directional roving and a 15mm PVC core in all horizontal surfaces.
• Deck is glued and bolted to hull.
• White topcoat in all exposed areas.
• Glove boxes in cockpit with teak frames.
• Cockpit laid with teak, teak toe rail.

 

Keel & Rudder:

• Iron cast fin bolted to a lead bulb.
• Keel is bolted with AISI 316 L stainless steel bolts.
• Balance spade rudder produced by vacuum assisted infusion. Reinforcement from bi-axial and uni-directional roving.
• Aluminium rudderstock and wings, acetal needle bearing top and bottom.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• Volvo D2-50 and 130S sail drive new 2019.
• Single lever engine controls on starboard helm.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine hours: circa 700 @ October 2025.
• Serviced in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Sail drive diaphragm 2019.

 

Propulsion & Steering:

• Twin leather covered Lewmar wheels in stainless with break.
• Lewmar rack and pinion steering by a combination of rod and chain.
• Maxprop 3 blade feathering propeller.
• Ambassador 3 blade rope cutter.
• Bow thruster with variable power and hold unction with controls at starboard helm.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• 12V and 240V systems.
• 230V power sockets in each cabin, at galley and at chart table.
• Shore power only 230V socket in saloon.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• Pressurised fresh water pump.
• Isotherm 40 litre calorifier heated by engine and 230V emersion.
• Drinking water tap with two filters.
• Shower mixer in forward heads.
• Single lever mixer taps on all sinks/basins.
• Cockpit hot/cold shower.
• Plumbed for watermaker .

 

Bilge Pumps:

• Electrical bilge pumps, suction points at shower sumps discharge below sheer line.
• Electrical bilge pump, suction point at keel sump discharge above waterline.
• Manual bilge pump 1 ½ inch cockpit operated, suction by 5m loose hose discharge below sheer line.

Tankage

• Fuel and water tank gauge at chart table.
• Gas locker to house 1 x Camping Gaz bottle (spare housed in ventilated helm seat).

• All upholstery, saloon seating, soft furnishings and luxury foam mattresses and infills replaced October 2017.
• Galley worktop in white composite.

 

Description of layout from forwards:

• From forward there is a large double owner’s cabin with a forward-facing V berth with aft end infill and en-suite owners heads to starboard with a shower stall. 
• The main saloon is very light and airy.
• There is U shaped seating to starboard with a sliding bench amid ships. The saloon table drops on a gas strut and with infill forms a large additional double berth. 
• The galley runs along the saloon to port and the chart table is to starboard in front of the companionway steps and the aft/day heads to port.
• The companionway overhead sliding washboard is tinted acrylic and there is a folding teak door. 
• The starboard aft cabin is a single that folds out to a double with infill and has a folding upper bunk.
• Engine access is from the companionway steps and the aft starboard cabin.
• The aft port cabin is a double.

Rig:

• The Selden silver anodised aluminium fractionally rigged keel stepped mast was replaced in 2019 but the previous owner. Not planning to sell at that point he converted the rig to Electric in mast furling. Mast furling and outhaul operate simultaneously.

• Standing rigging 2019.
• Lewmar mainsheet track pully system and cleats upgraded to Harken flipflop blocks and cleats.
