2009 Beneteau Oceanis 43 | Te Whio ll
Te Whio II is a beautifully presented and well maintained example of the ever popular Beneteau Oceanis 43, a proven cruising yacht designed by the respected naval architects at Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design. Renowned for her balanced sailing performance, responsive helm and forgiving manners at sea, the Oceanis 43 delivers confidence while coastal cruising.
Built with a solid GRP displacement hull and fin keel with bulb for enhanced stability, she features a powerful yet easily managed fractional sloop rig. The twin helm cockpit offers excellent visibility, safe movement underway and generous entertaining space at anchor or in harbour, making her equally suited to family cruising and social sailing.
On deck, Te Whio II is thoughtfully equipped for extended cruising. Stainless steel safety rails, quality Lewmar hatches, teak handrails and a well organised anchoring system with a Quick electric windlass ensure practical and efficient handling. A full canvas package including bimini, dodger and stack pack provides valuable protection from the elements in a wide range of conditions.
Sail handling is straightforward and efficient with Harken winches, roller furling genoa and a full batten mainsail, complemented by additional downwind and storm sails for versatility across varying wind strengths. She is well set up for short handed sailing without compromising performance.
Below decks, the spacious four cabin layout offers impressive accommodation for family and guests. The bright saloon features an L shaped settee, convertible dining table and excellent storage throughout. The well appointed galley includes double stainless steel sinks, refrigeration with freezer capability and an ENO two burner stove with oven, ideal for extended cruising.
Accommodation comprises a forward double cabin, twin single cabin and two generous aft doubles, supported by two heads with showers. Ventilation is excellent thanks to multiple deck hatches, portlights and fans throughout.
Powered by a reliable Yanmar 56hp diesel and supported by a substantial electrical system with shore power, inverter and solar array, she offers excellent independent cruising capability. Recent upgrades to batteries and charging systems further enhance her self sufficiency.
Well maintained and comprehensively equipped, Te Whio II presents as a turnkey cruising yacht ready for her next adventure. Contact The Yacht Sale Co. team for more information or to arrange a viewing.
